Configurable Router-ID for Cisco 6500

Experts,

Could you please confirm if we are able to configure router-id for wccp registration on cisco 6500.

i am running SUP720-10G 122.33.SXJ and it does not allow me to configure a static router-id for wccp

<ip wccp source-intf> is this command supported in any other releases for cisco 6509-E switches?

Appreciate your help.

Good morning,

The WCCP router id is not directly configurable. The router will automatically choose the highest loopback IP address as router id. If a loopback is not configured, then, it will choose the highest IP among the configured interfaces.
