I have a 6509 with the Content Switch Module. I would like to give our operation technicaian the abilith to connect to the CSM GUI to add server and remove servers from production as necessary. The GUI states that Level 15 access is required. Is there any way to configure the CMS GUI access with less than Level 15?
thanks for you help!!!

You just have to create user based access on the CSM and assign privileges to them. So if you want to provide less than level 15 access to the technician you have to create a username on the CSM and assign him a privilege level. Assigning privilege levels in CSM is similar to assiging privilege levels in routers.

that is not the question.
When you open the GUI on the router [CVDM] the first thing you get is a popup asking you for username and password. In this window appears clearly a message saying "level 15 access".
If you try to log with a user with less than level 15, the connection is rejected.
Only level 15 users can use the GUI.
The reason is that the GUI gives access to level 15 functions and there is no way to restrict access to those functions for some users.
It is full access or no access.
If you know a way to do it, we'll be glad to hear it.
But your current explanation is not useful to solve this problem.
Thanks,
Gilles.
