CSM url map and regexp - resource utilization

hello all,

I need configure something like this:

policy STREAM-VOD

url-map STREAM-VOD

serverfarm STREAM-VOD

map STREAM-VOD url

match protocol http url */vod/*

my question is about url map definition: "*/vod/*". I can't define more specific regexp, because I don't know how many characters are before/after "/vod/". I need match any URL "/vod/" included. Any ideas?

example:

/servlet/create.sdp?clip=pv/p1/vod/free/umts_a3boot_A3_markiza_7sro_0804222358.21000101.3gp&ip=10.64.223.173&msisdn=421908367065

my question is about resource utilization, because (I thing) regexp '*something*' are very picky.. or I'm wrong?

Martin,

there is no other solution if what you need is match the middle of a url.

The CSM will work fine with this map but you are limited in the amount of such maps that you can configure.

do a 'show mod csm X memory' to see the impact of the adding this map.

One is usually ok.

Two you will notice the memory increasing

Three the memory growth is exponential.

thank you for response. I need add this (one) url map to 2, or 3 policies. I will check memory usage.

It's possible to upgrade memory on the CSM module? from 250MB to more memory?

There is no way to increase the memory.
