csm vserver addressing

Hi, a short question:

is it allowed to give a vserver an ip address from a range that is already given to a configured server-vlan, or must it be a different one? I want to keep my old dns-addresses an use them as vserver addresses.

TIA, Stephan

It must be different because when a virtual server is configured with an IP address, it will start replying to ARP requests for that specific IP, even if it is still out of service.
