Hi, we're having a problem and I don't know what to do at this point.
We have two CSS's on a redundant setup. We have master and slave. The master suffers from a rare problem.
The Vlan attached to the port in question, suddenly gets down and the servers under it can't access the rest of the Vlans. This only happens on the master CSS. I activated logging to our syslog server but It only sends informative messages. What can I do to send warnings, criticals and fatals of ALL subsystems at once to the syslog server ?
Thanks.

Do you have something like this configured :
logging host 192.168.30.27 facility 7 log-level info-6
??
Looking at the log for this kind of issue usually gives no result or explanation of the failure.
Does the vlan stay down until manual intervention ?
Or does it recover ?
How long does it stay down ?
What do you do to recover ?
Is there a failover to standby ?
You could configure a critical reporter to monitor the vlan and have automatic failover if it does down.
Gilles.

Yes, the Vlan stay down until manual intervention, usually I reboot the css so the slave comes up and it works. When the master css comes up again after reboot it works again for weeks.
Thank you !
