Hi,
I have two CSS11050 running WebNS 6.10 Build 405.
I'm using the eth-management interface for SSH and HTTPS remote access (I have configured an ip management route toward my management network)
Everything is working fine, but I noticed that the CSSs are not using this interface as its source for TACACS+ and NTP traffic. Instead, the CSSs are using an in-band IP address when speaking with the TACACS+ and NTP server.
I did not found a way to change this behaviour.
Is there a way ... ?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Ricardo

Ricardo,
this is normal behavior.
Only the following protocols will use the management route.
SNMP
Telnet
ICMP
SSH
FTP (active only)
GUI (HTTP)
XML
DNS - both client and server
There is a feature request introduced to add other protocols like TACACS.
This feature request is being tracked by bug id CSCed82545.
Regards,
Gilles.

Gilles,
Thanks for your answer.
This feature will be probably developed only for WebNs versions running on CSS11500 platforms. Can you acknowledge this?
What about SNTP? Is this protocol being taken into consideration?

Ricardo

yes, indeed, only for the 11500 as we don't do new feature for css11000.
Gilles.
