How would I be able to do the following without a SSL Device. I have two servers with SSL certs installed. When hitting a content rule i would like to stick to one server for both http and https. I have tryed using advance balance arrowpoint cookies which didnt work for https.

since you don't have an ssl offloader, the content of the https traffic is invisible.

Therefore, the only option left for stickyness is the source ip address.

If you do not need any particular L5-7 feature for HTTP, I would suggest to use 1 content rule for both HTTP and HTTPS with advanced-balance sticky-srcip.

If you need 2 content rules, I would suggest balance srcip on both content rules assuming you use the same services for both rules.

Personally I would recommend the first option.

Regards,

Gilles.

Thanks for the reply. Im currently using the first option you stated.
