FWSM support for both transparent and routed when in multi context?

Hi can you use the FWSM in both transparent and routed

mode when you have multiple contexts enabled? I.e. one context in routed mode and one in

transparent? Or is it simply one mode or the other no matter whether

single context or multi

context?

Thanks,

rays

Yes you can independently set each context's mode to either being routed or transparent in FWSM. Kindly go through the documentation at:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/fwsm/fwsm40/configuration/guide/fwmode_f.html

for additional information.

By the way as of now this is only available in FWSM as far as I know. ASA currently does not allow you to mix routed and transparent modes across different contexts.

Thaks a lot Atif. I obviously didn't go through the documentation thoroughly enough or I would have spotted that!.
