GSS Redundancy

Is it possible to have two GSSs configured so if the primary fails, then the secondary will take over without any manual intervention ?

Or can we have two primary GSSs responding to DNS requests concurrently ?

With GSS redundancy, all GSS can respond to DNS queris [not just the GSSM].

However, only 1 GSS - the GSSM - can be used to configure all the GSS.

If the GSSM fails and you want the standby GSSM to take over the role of GSSM, manual intervention is required.

This somehow explained at:http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/contnetw/ps4162/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a00801cc5c6.html#wp1040799

Gilles.
