How CPU proccessing load (L3) GRE vs L2 on WCCPv2 ??

Hi.

I use WCCPv2 on SUP720 & inktomi cache(trraffic server). but sup720's CPU load run over 90% in increase traffic.

Now using L3(GRE) between SUP720 and Cache server.

I wonder how effect cpu proccessing in L3 redirect or L2 redirect?.

please let me know information about L2,L3 redirect method and related CPU load.
