How to connect the Single mode fiber with cisco 6509 core switch

Dera Sir/Madam,

   This is Robert from Chennai. We have constructed a new building in our office. We have Cisco 4507 switch in new building and having cisco 6509 core switch in Server room. We have lay out the single mode fiber between them. But the connection is not working with this single mode fiber. But we layed the cabe more than 200 meter in under ground, so there is no chance to replace the cable.

So please help me  how to connect these switches with single mode fiber? is any option there? Please help me ...

have you tested the fibre since its been layed is it ok ?

what sfps are you using on each side and whats results are you getting up/down or down/down can you post any outputs show int  and the sh run from int from each side

single mode should work fine between the switches
