how to monitor the backup CSS in box-to-box redundancy

I would like to monitor whether my backup CSS is alive but for box-to-box redundancy, the backup CSS is always in cold standby and I am not able to ping to its management IP address. May I know how I achieve this?

the only ip address still accessible is the redundancy-protocol vlan.

If you mske this subnet accessible to your management device, you should be able to access it.

Regarding the management port, don't forget it is not routable until version 6.10.

Does it mean that I will never be able to reach my mgmt IP address if it is in standby mode?

I forgot to mention the easiest solution.

The management port should still be responsive on the backup.
