Max connections command

Hi,

If we have 5 servers, and issue the max connections command on each server to be 100. What happens if connection 501 comes in ? Is it dropped or balanced ?

Mike,

when a server reaches maxconn it is move out-of-service / down and it won't be part of loadbalancing.

Therefore, when all the servers reaches maxconn, it's like having a vip with all its servers down and the connections is therefore dropped.

If you have a backup configured, the backup would be used.
