Ping from an rserver. Does the source IP get changed?

We have a new application we are testing. As part of that testing I am trying to ping from a working production rserver to "router x" several hops away, all in my datacenter.

I can ping "router x" from my Admin context but not from the context that my rserver is on.

When I do a ping from an rserver does the loadbalancer change the source IP to the VIP's IP address?

If that is the case, then "router x" will see the ping coming from the VIP and not the rserver, is that correct?

I allow pings in both contexts. I can ping other devices from both the Admin and the other context.

Thanks.

Hello!

Just a question. Did you configured anything on the loadbalancer to change the source IP of the rserver? The loadbalancer will do nothing except you configure it to do so.
