Prepositioning directives

Hello team,

I would like to ask you how many prepositioning directives can be assign to a single WAE. Here is the scenario I am interested about:

Lets say we have 4 sites, HQ and branches B1, B2, B3. The default prepositioning directive P1 will be configured for the HQ and assigned to branch offices. Thats not a problem. But there is a recomendation to create preposition directive P2 for B2 and assign it to B3 and vice versa (P3).

So the assignments would look like this:

B1 - P1

B2 - P1, P3

B3 - P1, P2

Is this scenario possible and recommended by Cisco, please ?

Many thanks!

Regards,

Stan

Hi Stan,

Yes, preposition can be configured for multiple roots to multiple edge waes or device group. The best way to deal with this is to define a devie group and assign device group to the preposition directive.

Here is the document to help you with.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/app_ntwk_services/waas/waas/v431/configuration/guide/filesvr.html#wp1070524

Hope this helps.

Regards.
