Problem SSL offload with Outlook Web Access

STEVE FLIS

Level 1

Trying to ssl offload and load balance Microsoft Outlook Web Access.

It appears that the server is instructing the client to issue an http call after logging into the Web server. Sniffer trace shows no 302 redirect. We tried using urlrewrite in the ssl-proxy config but without the redirect it does not seem to pick it up. Does anyone know a work around

Thanks

Steve

When doing ssl offload with OWA, you need a specific http header mesage to be inserted by the ssl offloader in the http request from the client to the server.

The following line is what need to be inseted :

Front-End-Https: on

This is explain on Microsoft website at :

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/exchange/2000/maintain/e2kfront.mspx

The CSS-SSL module will be able to do http header insert with version 7.40 coming out soon.

Regards,

Gilles.
