Replacing 6504 with Nexus 5K

 We have planned to replace Cisco 6504 switch with Nexus 5548. Can we get 48 port for server connectivity ? if not what can be alternate cost effective solution ?

To get static route working do we need L3 daughter card , which license is required to get static route working ? Is the license comes free with Nexus 5K or I need to purchase ?
