I have to replace a faulty CSS 11150 as the hard disk is bad.The present code is 6.10 build 405.There is a box-to-box redundancy in between the 2 CSS's,the server and client VLAN is same i.e, the CSS is in bridged mode. What is the best way to replace the CSS in this kind of scenario? Can this be done in a hitless manner considering there is a backup CSS?

force failover to the backup (run the command "redundancy force-master" on the backup), replace the bad css, do a config-synch and you should be ok.

Gilles,
Thanks for a quick response..what are the bare minimum settings I have to do on the replacement CSS to be able to Sync the config?Do I have to have all the uplinks and heartbeat cable in place to do the sync or I can do it just by connecting the heartbeat cable?
