Sniff traffic going through CSM

We have a 6509 sup 720 with CSM installed in mod 1, the port-channel int is po257. Problem is when I span po257 I only see broadcast traffic, even when I span a server port I only see the broadcast traffic. Any ideas why I can't see ping or HTTP traffic in the span session?

If the SPAN is configured perfectly you should be able to trace all kinds of traffic. I suspect that there is some issue with the configuration. Check the SPAN configuration thoroughly. You should be able to sniff all types of traffic.
