Spanning tree in CSS.

Hi all,

we are considering to connect two CSSs or ACEs in box-to-box failover. The failover link between both balancers.

From inside site we want to connect 2 switches as in standard triangle manner in LAN to both balancers.

My question is if the balancer can permit one trunk port for data and other trunk port blocks?

And if one switch switchs off (brokes down) balancer will unblock blocked port? So my question is if it works like standard switch with

spanning tree enabled.

Hi,

Yes you can configure the spanning tree in CSS and spanning tree mechanism works in similar fashion as if like in cisco switches.

check  out the below link on CSS for configuring Spanning tree.

https://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/app_ntwk_services/data_center_app_services/css11500series/v8.20/configuration/routing/guide/Span.html#wp1089019

Hope to help !!
