SSL Termination (11501)

A Customer has bought a 11501 including an SSL Module to enable some of his Webserver to use ssl.

The Webserver is an appliance and not able to deal with ssl traffic. That is why they decided to get the CSS and terminate the SSL Traffic on the switch.

Simple plan - terminate the ssl traffic on the css and then communicate via http with the backend server. I am not sure if the customer needs authentication but i will aim for a non authentication solution first.

If anyone has already done this and can offer an example configuration he could considerably drop the amount of time i would spent on reading the SSL Configuration Guide.

There is also an ssl quickstart that will guide you through this process [there is more than just the config, you also need to get a key and a certificate signed by a certificate authority like verisign]
