URL redirection based on source address for the Content Engine

Hi,

We have two Cisco CE 7305 and are not able to redirect URLs based on source IP addresses

We would like prevent users in general from accessing the Internet, while permitting specific IP subnets to access the Internet.

The users that are not allowed Internet access should be redirected to a url with a information message to contact the Helpdesk.

We have tried using "rule action user server", but it is not working as expected for us. The "redirect" and "rewrite" url action rules do not seem to support source IP address as a rule.

We are running ACNS version 5.2.3.

Perhaps Policy Based Routing (PBR) will accomplish what you need. PBR allows you to forward flows based on their source addresses and not just source or destination as the normal routing table does.
