VIP injection into OSPF

Has anybody tried using ospf advertise command to inject vip into ospf? I have tried this on both 7.4 and 7.5 with no success. The vip appears in the ospf lsdb on my CSS (not in IP routing table tho)but not in my 6500 lsdb directly connected on the vip subnet, I've taken sniffer traces of the lsdb exchange and cannot see the vip being advertied as an ASE.

Any ideas anybody?

do you have the ospf as-boundary command ?

yes, the css does not let you use the ospf advertise command without it.

Sorted Giles! Cannot run the CSS in a stub area when using ospf vip adverts.This is due to blocking of external lsa's in stub areas.
