Hi,

i have 2 wae machines over two sites. i have a file server at the main site, the protocol i am using is a cifs.

my question is if the wan connection is down, and there is no communication between the wae's, can i still work locally on a file stored at the local wae cache ?

Hi Avi,

Connectivity to the origin file server must be available in order to work with cached content on the client-side WAAS device.  This is required for coherency and security reasons.
