Hi Pushpak

Please can you advise what code version you are on and what you are planning to upgrade to?

There is an upgrade path that should be looked to ensure your current and planned is upgradeable in 1 or if it needs interim version.

You will also need to ensure the firmware version on your RAID controller on the 7541 box is upto the correct level.

Have a look at this link:-

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/app_ntwk_services/waas/waas/upgrade/guide/waas_upgrade-50.html

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Craig

Hi Craig,

We are using 5.0.3a version and planning to upgrade to latest version .

Once we upgrade the central manager is it possible to upgrade WAAS devices through central-manager ?

Thanks And Regards

Hi Pushpak,

I don't think (although I'm not 100% sure) you can do this via the CM. The CM in itself is just like a WAAS box but with a different mode set.

You can do this via the GUI on each WAAS box if you prefer. You will just need to setup a "Job" within the WAAS box and point it to a FTP server, however i would say i think its better to do the upgrades by CLI (I'm trying my best to do everything via the CLI now.... :-))

Hope that helps

Craig
