Is there a way to force WCCP to use a specific Loopback address as WCCP router ID? It appears to always bind to the Loopback interface with highest IP address.
Thanks

The router ID is the address of the first loopback interface or highest active physical interface

Intercept type Traffic Type Egress router addrses
1. WCCP L2 Bypass ISU
2. WCCP L2 optimized ISU
3. WCCP L2 flow protected ISU
4. WCCP L2 flow protected+
router failure RID
5. WCCP GRE Bypass RID
6. WCCP GRE optimized RID
7. WCCP GRE flow protected,
with/without
router-failure RID
* ISU = Address from which WCCP "I SEE YOU" message is received
* RID = Router ID sent by the intercepting router. This would be the highest IP on the router (if Loopback interfaces are configured, then the highest IP of the Loopback interfaces).
RID is always reachable by WCCPv2 protocol definition, as a result, when loopback interfaces are not configured and a the physical interface with the highest IP is down,
the router will publish a new RID with the next choice of highest IP.
