WCCP acceleration error

After entering the below commands on my catalyst switch

ip wccp 0 accelerated

ip wccp 95 accelerated

it produce the below eror and whole solution stopped working. The above command was used to reduce the CPU load on MSFC

4w4d: WCCP-EVNT:wccp_update_assignment_status: enter

4w4d: WCCP-EVNT:wccp_update_assignment_status: exit

4w4d: WCCP-EVNT:D00: Here_I_Am packet from <ip address> w/bad assign method 00000001, was offered 00000002

4w4d: WCCP-EVNT:D00: Here_I_Am packet from <ip address> with incompatible capabilities

Does anyone know what is actually being done when that "accelerated" command is used ? and what had caused the "incompatible capabilities" messages too ?

it does not accelerate anything.

The purpose of this command is to tell the MSFC to only accept WCCP paramters from the CE that matches L2 redirect and hash assignment.

So, basically this command is a kind of filter.

It is indeed correct that L2 redirect will give you better performance.

But this needs to be configured on the cache, not the router.
