Who should manage and support content networking devices?

I'm looking for inputs as well as any related white papers on weather system admin. or network admin should manage and provide support for content networking devices? What's the typical practice in corporate IT?

most of the time it is network admin.

HI Howard,

you can do both. Network configs done by the networking guys and things regarding the reals in regards of load balancing (CSS/CSM) by the system guys. This can be "easily" done with the HSE. So the network guys do not need to get consulted if the content rules etc. have to be changed/added depending on rights you are giving the system admin.
