Why does My Catalyst 6509 Running 5.2.1CSX Code Shut Down the VLAN When 1 port Goes into errDisable Mode?

I have had 2 separate VLANs. When one of the VLAN ports goes into errdisable mode, I have been able to clear the problem by enableing the affected ports.

It is a known bug, CSCdm48887. Upgrade to at least 5.5.6. The work-around is disable the errDisable mode by issuing the command set option errport enable, followed by the clear cam dynamic command, and enable the errDisabled ports.
