This topic is a chance to discuss more about Segment Routing (SR) and its simplicity for MPLS data plane forwarding in Cisco IOS® XE and Cisco IOS XR. There are a variety of MPLS applications, which are built over multiple control plane protocols with complex interactions. Label Switch Paths (LSPs) have been traditionally provisioned with protocols such as LDP, TDP, RSVP-TE, and BGP-LU.
