Hi All,
How can we obtain SNMP MIB base for this switch and what SNMP monitoring software do you recommend?

Hello Lukasz,
Your request is very reasonable, not sure if the MIB file bundles are available on the Cisco downlod http://www.cisco.com/cisco/web/download/index.html for the Small Business products at all. Taking the fact the SNMP support has been expanded (or earlier Linksys/Cisco SB Switch specs not listing the complete information in the product decription), there is some room to enhance:
What we EFT people would certainly like to see is the Cisco CB switches will become a part of the "Cisco standard" Cisco MIBs support-lookup and download feature, reachable over the Cisco download start page -> Cisco MIBs -> Network Management Software -> MIBs Supported by Product -> Information about which MIBs are supported by which Cisco products (-> http://www.cisco.com/public/sw-center/netmgmt/cmtk/mibs.shtml ) Must be updated by ths Cisco SBSBU with every firmware update, tough.

For personal test purposes, iReasoning http://ireasoning.com/ offers their MIB Browser Free Personal Edition, the limitation is in the number of concurrently loaded MIBs - a pure Java application, comes with a WIndows installer or as a tarball for other platforms.
---
Locating MIBs? Most MIB browsers come preloaded with a precompiled set of the RFC standard MIBS.
Fro CISCO private MIBs, start about here:
http://tools.cisco.com/ITDIT/MIBS/servlet/index
or direct
http://tools.cisco.com/Support/SNMP/public.jsp SNMP Object Navigator -> View & Download MIBS
---
Looks like SMB are not to keen on monitoring thier networks...
Regards,
-Kurt.

For EFT, I have uploaded the MIB zip file to the following location: https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-12590
We tested the MIBs using SilverCreek software. We also did verify that they compile with MG-Soft and Unbrowse as well.

Hello Thuy,
Are the MIBs in this ZIP file a superset, or is really everything supported on the Sx300 Series? I'm highly impressed about the functionality and switching reliability of these switches already.
Reason asking, the Draft Admin Guide SG300-Admin-20100507.pdf lists much less, and starts beyond with Cisco (not CiscoSB) private MIBs:
...
Supported MIBs
The following standard MIBs are supported:
CISCO-CDP-MIB.mib
CISCO-SMI.mib
CISCO-TC.mib
CISCO-VTP-MIB.mib
...
Regards,
-Kurt.

Hi Kurt,
The admin guide needs to be corrected. The mib zip file is the accurate list of the MIBs supported.

Thuy
