Deploy the SDK to a web server & the need for Browser Plugin

Hi,

What is policy on downloading the SDK browser plugin for all the end users( let's say all the cisco employees)  ever after we deploy the Web Server.Currently I have installed an evaluation copy of the plugin with local SDK. Any pointers would be great.

Thank you.

The Jabber SDK product team had the following guidance on this question:

- It is expected/suggested that applications incorporating the cwic plugin may automate - to the extent possible - the installation of the plugin, e.g. by serving the plugin installer package from a local file server if its not installed

- However, per the current licensing terms, 3rd parties/partners should not actively bundle/distribute any particular version of the plugin installer package to end-user customers

As I understand it, the way this could work out would be to have the application/solution have a mechanism where the end-user customer can upload/place the actual plugin installer binary (say onto the solutions web server) for app-triggered download to client PCs.

This is a somewhat fine distinction, let us know if you need any further clarification.
