how can we programmatically count users actively logged on to jabber?

In the Cisco Unified IM and Presence Reporting console, it's easy to get a "presence usage count" of users who are logged on to Jabber, along with their IDs. We need to do this programmatically, whether through an axl soap api or via sql query on the Presence Server data tables. Does anybody know how this can be done?

Not aware of a supported API that will provide a listing of logged-in users.

You can get detailed performance counters (otherwise available via RTMT) via the Perfmon API: https://developer.cisco.com/docs/sxml/#!perfmon-api-reference
