Add Codec Option via LUA Script

I have a requirement to always provide G.711 as an option for all calls to our SIP provider. Is it possible with a LUA script to automatically add G.711 as an option to all outbound calls?

Phone---->Leaf Cluster 1----->SME----->Egress Trunk

When calls are G.711 all works well. When we have a phone making a g.729 from the leaf up to the SME, this is where we get into problems. Our SIP provider simply requires that G.711 must be a codec option, does not need to be first. Without G.711 as an option the call fails.

Hi Dennis,

   Did you had any chance to try the solution mentioned in this url-

   Outbound codec preference based on region | IP Telephony | Cisco Support Community | 5961 | 11519411  That is if you want to choose a codec for your outbound leg, you have to either set it as preferred in your voice class list or hardcode it such that it is the codec been advertised as the prefferd to your ITSP.

Thanks and Regards
