CISCO-BGP4-MIB - BUG?

dulbrecht

Level 1

Hello guys.

Note: First three IP octects changed to x.x.x.

There is an error when trying to collect data through SNMP, items below this following tree (cbgpPeerAddrFamilyPrefixEntry 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.187.1.2.4.1) should be all gauge type, but the values are showed as counter, and because of this they are useless in a NMS system:

Take a look.

Only cbgpPeerAcceptedPrefixes 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.187.1.2.4.1.1 that is described as being counter acts as gauge (not incrementing values, but otherwise showing current values).

I found searching in the bug database this problem seems to affect other platforms too:
https://quickview.cloudapps.cisco.com/quickview/bug/CSCuj17869

Is there any way to fix this issue? Is really a BUG? Cisco intend to solve this bug in the future OS releases?

I've tested on Nexus 7k and Catalyst C6880-X.
