I noticed this Superport Mac link down in the logs. Can this cause intermittent issues on the entire chassis WS-C4510R+E?
I have users complaining of intermittent issues on their network connections and i see the pattern when i tested several ports with a fluke tester.

Well, on slot 7, its just only three connected devices. and users on other slots on same chassis are having the intermittent issues, I did observed the Ethernet failing when i fluke it yesterday on several users data jacks, not stable, not responding well to fluke tester, on multiple endpoints.
sho int status mod 7 | in connected
Gi7/1 connected 501 a-full a-1000 10/100/1000-TX
Gi7/22 connected 502 a-half a-100 10/100/1000-TX
Gi7/48 connected 506 a-full a-100 10/100/1000-TX
However, on another similar chassis(WS-C4510R+E) in the same IDF that cover the users area but, no superport error, having same intermittent issues. The two Chassis are EOL/EOS, due for a refresh but, not anytime soon. Just want to find a work around and plan refresh in the new year.
Both have same firmware: Version 03.11.04.E

- @Mike Agbeniyi Sr. What I would always do when dealing with such issues , is look at the current software version being used
on the switch and compare against the latest (advisory) release. Especially if you are on an older version ;
then upgrade and check if that can help , even if there is no immediate bug report to confirm doing so,
M.

Thank you, @Mark Elsen I rebooted the chassis on 12/27/2024 might, and the bug has not shown up since that time, and there seem to be no issues reported since then. Hopefully, it stays that way. Thank you.
