Looks like a bug that's been affecting our Wake-on-LAN (WoL) service which uses directed broadcasts from a central server to the target's subnet.

Hi Sam
CSCuy81008 is very specific to 3850. Problem seen in 16.x releases. Problem has been resolved in 16.3(2) which came out earlier this month.
I hope this helps ... Palani

3850 - yes. We have been using the directed-broadcast feature on our 6500s for years, but we've been scratching our heads over why it didn't work on the 3850s we installed in the summer. We hadn't got round to investigating enough to raise a TAC case. We've noted that the directed-broadcast ACL counters increment when a packet is ostensibly forwarded, but the packet is never seen on the far side of the switch. We're scheduling a 16.3 upgrade when we can.
