Also, can no longer scp text/config files to ASA post upgrade 9.8(1).
Was told by TAC today (8/10/2017), SCP problem would be fixed in 9.8(2), but is not stable, still being tested and won't be out for release at the earliest Oct.15, 2017.

Software release 9.8.2 was released 8/28/2017 and resolves the SCP issue.
