According to the advisory, M4 fix is expected to be out by 16 March 2018.

So, We're on 2.2.6C firmware ,thinking upgrading to the 2.2.8I because VMware upgrade.

Does 2.2.8i firmware include the fix for that vulnerability?

I believe the fix is found in the March 2018 release of 3.X.X.
