CSCvj75512 - Cat9300 will fail to boot up with bootup logs:BOOT FAIL W

Had this issue on eleven different switches on the same batch from cisco now. This serialnumber range: FOC2446Lxxx, the other switches we got outside of this range havent showed the issue so far. We had the problem on version 17.6.3, 17.6.4 and 17.9.4a.

Anyone else having this serialnumber range so we can see if its an production or microcode error?
Tried leaving the switches powerless for over an hour and restarting them multiple times without luck.
Although did manage to get two back online after leaving them powerless for a couple of days waiting for RMA.
Still though, dont want switches in production enviroment that may not boot up after restart.

The serial numbers are from 3 and a half year old switches.

Were these newly opened switches?

No they were installed like 2 years ago on the sites and havent been rebooted since. So now when we started maintaining our software with restarts, the problem on these sites start to show. Its not every restart but sadly last time 7 out of 30 switches got stuck in this and we dont have that many spare switches on site to handle this level of fault.

Also seeing these symptoms on switches in the SN pool beginning with FJC2xxxx.

I have seen this issue occur on the following switches which fall outside the published parameters. While the SNs come back not affected, both switches crashed after upgrading from 17.06.04 to 17.09.04a..

FJC2330T0AB - recovered on its own after 90 minutes.
FJC25511RP0 - did not recover. RMA required.

Please advise next steps.

I'd RMA both of `em:  "recovered on it's own after 90 minutes" is as dodgy as a $3 bill.
