CSCvm96960 ASR1006: ETH_SPA_MAC-3-UNREC_ECC_ERR: SIP1/2: Marvel MAC

Hi!

I also have a similar error with SPA-1X10GE-L-V2 but in ASR1006 and S.O. Version 16.09.06, I saw this log:

MST: %ETH_SPA_MAC-3-UNREC_ECC_ERR: SIP1/2: Marvel MAC : An unrecoverable ECC error occured in the MAC

Does anybody knows why this could happened, or if this is related to a bug or hardware failure?

BTW.- this failure was resolved by reloading SPA.

Similar bug was there in older versions on ASR 1k

The SPA card may fail to pass traffic after the message appears or traffic drop could be observed.

The error is only seen on "ASR1001-X", haven't seen the issue on ASR1002-X The trigger was a combination with the SPA card (SPA-1X10GE-L-V2) on 10G interfaces. The " built-in 10G" interfaces is NOT affected. The error only appears when "QoS Priority" is applied, doesn't occur when PRIORITY is removed.
