Is there any fix for this in the 16.9.x ios family? Is reload the only fix? This is a little silly as most monitoring software polling snmp traffic quits working for physical interfaces after the 2 year 22 week time period.
16.09.08 seems to solve the problem. Not only snmp polling but if you remove sfp, port remain down till reload. Counters dont increment when issuing show interface. No other solution than reload at least on my attention.
