Device Type and Device Name doesn't show correctlly in AP database

Heya

I've been looking for a solution for this. We have 3 standalone Aironet 3500's up and running nicely and the Associations tab shows all of the client devices as Unknown and with NONE as name. 

I found 2 articles about the same issue, with no solution:

Can anyone help me to find the right setting to fix this?

I believe this feature should never be enabled on autonomous IOS.  This feature is enabled on controller-based IOS with 8.2 code being the best to display the Device Type better than previous versions.

And thanks for your quick reply. Interesting! That would explain this. It's odd in CISCO documentations there's no mention about this.
