"Unsupported Version of WebEx Plugin Detected" Mac OS 10.14 Mojave and Outlook 365

I am getting the following alert:

"Unsupported Version of WebEx Plugin Detected".

Mac OS 10.14.2

Outlook 365 16.23

Cisco WebEx Desktop App 39.1.5.3

All versions seem to be up to date. Outlook was updated to the most recent version of 365, which is when this started.

Can I downgrade the WebEx Desktop App to a supported version? Downgrading Outlook and MacOS is not an option.

Hi,

I have the same problem with the exact same versions as edlsoccer.  Please advise.

Chris

I'm running macOS 10.14.3 and having the same issue. We've continually had to try and keep Webex updated to stay compatible with monthly office updates but with 16.23 there is no compatible version of the Webex plug-in.

Same exact issue started today. I did not have any updates though to trigger the issue. I am just behind on Mac OS latest rev 10.14 though of note....

16.23 Outlook Mac

10.13.6 Mac OS

39.1.5.3 Cisco Webex Meetings desktop app

Same issue here as well - it is very difficult keeping Outlook for Mac and WebEx working together and there is absolutely no support from Cisco on this - very difficult to find.  Here what I did - I uninstalled all Cisco WebEx Meeting applications and uninstalled Outlook and then installed the 16.22.1 version of Outlook for Mac and then reinstalled Cisco meetings - this seems to work but what a pain.  Bottom line is that I am doing no outlook upgrades until this gets sorted out.

Anyone else have any luck?

This happens to me also.

Found this on the web: https://www.jamf.com/jamf-nation/discussions/31342/ms-office-16-23-march-2019-not-compatible-with-latest-webex

It says the fix is in 39.2.0.525, provided to the customer by Cisco Sales Rep. I downloaded the current version from webex download site, it is still 39.1.5.3.

How do we get a copy of 39.2.0.525 internally?

Working solution install the latest download file from https://www.webex.com/downloads.html

Now it works fine for me.
Yesterday I installed the update via "Check for Updates..." menu inside the MacOS app, but it didn't work. Now works with the link. Same 39.2.1.5 version. Curious.

Do you have that updated link? Mine isn’t working still but with this new version of outlook I can’t figure out where the Add-in/Plug ins are to see if it’s installed any longer. I don’t get a message about disabling the WebEx plug in anymore but it isn’t working either.

Chris

I have version 39.1.6.4 of the Webex desktop tools.

When I try to upgrade, I see this message:

Cisco Webex Meetings 39.1.6.4 is currently the latest version available.

However, when I run outlook (version 16.23.1), it says "Unsupported Version of WebEx plugin detected".

Is it possible to get a newer version (39.2.x.y), and if so, how?

I raised an issue with my company's desktop support team.

They remotely deployed version 39.2.0.525 to my machine.

Then, outlook started w/o error and I saw the webex plugin!

We have Cisco WebEx Meetings 39.10.2.177 and Outlook 16.28 which are both currently the latest versions and we are getting, "Unsupported Version of WebEx Plugin Detected".
