The Buying Programs (Beta) tab was first introduced in June and created a unified view for buying program related information, offering visibility to information and data available in EA Workspace, specifically for Enterprise Agreements (EA 2.0, EA 3.0) and Managed Service EAs (MSEA 3.0).
The October release enhanced this initial view by adding Subscription, Suite and Service Coverage views – synced in real time with EA Workspace.
Upon selecting a Smart Account, users will notice a more powerful and user-friendly Overview section, featuring several dynamic cards with snapshots of suite consumption, upcoming true forwards, renewals and alerts.
The alert card provides several alert types including new, in-app access to the full catalog of Buying Programs.
Each dynamic card serves as an interactive filter, instantly updating the Active Suites table below when clicked. The table shows a holistic view of all suites associated with a Smart Account. Users can toggle between Software and Services agreements. The Suites shown in the table are organized by Portfolio, then Suite, and finally by individual products. Customizable columns allow users to add, hide, and export data for a tailored experience.
Subscription View
Clicking on a Subscription ID leads users to a detailed Subscription View featuring interactive cards for quick access to detailed Subscription insights.
A highly anticipated new feature, Subscription Lifecycle View, organizes key events by quarter (with a toggle for a monthly view), plotting out the entire timeline for an Enterprise Agreement subscription, which is highly valuable for planning and forecasting.
Suite View
The Suite View offers comprehensive insights into individual suites, notably Billing Part Numbers and Suite Consumption Details. A future release will activate a Get License button, but in the meantime redirects the user to the EA Workspace.
Service Coverage View
The Service Coverage View gives visibility to the assets covered under an agreement across all purchased suites. In addition, customers will be able to identify the quantity of assets that were recently added to their coverage to help them plan for the next True Forward. Includes export functionality for offline handling.
