Is Cisco licenses for an interface or the device itself ?

Hello,

I want to ask if I'm using a smart license for a Cisco CSR , is it for the device or the device ? I mean let's say I have a license for 1 Gb so this speed for the device or for the interface if I'm using of course the CSR on a cloud ?

If I understand your question correctly... the CSR1000v's performance license limits the aggregate bi-directional forwarding throughput at the system level across all interfaces. That is, the license is not applied per-interface nor is it tied to any particular interface.
