Hi everyone,
I've been having an ongoing issue with my laptop frequently disconnecting from the Cisco AnyConnect VPN. It usually stays connected for a few minutes, then suddenly drops the connection without any clear error message. Sometimes it reconnects automatically, but often I have to restart the VPN client manually.
Here are a few more details:
Laptop OS: [Insert your OS and version, e.g., Windows 11 Pro, macOS Ventura, etc.]
AnyConnect Version: [Insert version, if known]
Internet connection: Stable (tested with streaming and downloads without interruptions)
Connection type: Wi-Fi (though I’ve also tried Ethernet with similar results)
VPN Server: Provided by my workplace
Antivirus/Firewall: [List if any third-party security software is installed]
What I’ve tried so far:
Reinstalling Cisco AnyConnect
Flushing DNS and resetting network settings
Disabling IPv6
Checking with IT – they say everything looks fine on their end
Using a different Wi-Fi network (same issue occurs)
Has anyone experienced this before or found a solution? Could it be a compatibility issue with my OS, or something else like aggressive power-saving settings?
Any advice or suggestions would be really appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
