Cisco Proximity on IX5000 system

Hi,

We have a Cisco IX5000 system with software 8.0.2(90).

Proximity isn't working, does someone knows how to enable this?

Proximity is not implemented on the IX platform. Have not heard anything that this will be shortly. Maybe somebody from the BU can tell more.

This feature is not available in this version of the IX8 software (which runs on the IX5000). This can be found here:

Q.    Will Intelligent Proximity be supported?
A.     It will be supported on the IX5000, but not at launch. Intelligent Proximity will be supported on a future software release.

Our Cisco representative says proximity support will be released in the next version of IX sometime in June.

This is what i have from Cisco:

Cisco release schedules for “proximity in 8.1”, and “Content display on touch10 in 8.1”  “auto-standup mode in 8.2” and “whiteboard in 8.2” ; schedule 8.1 is Q4 July; 8.2 is late Q1 Oct.
