I am the Manager at a small business. We currently have 2 IP phones through the phone company we use for service. We recently had a new employee start so I have to order a new phone. We aren't crazy about the phones they provided so I was going to buy a used cisco cp-7945G to try it out and see if it functions better than what we have currently. I found one for a great price but I suddenly realized I have no clue if I could figure out out. My questions are this:
1. Do I have to purchase a license to use the phone? My phone carrier (voip) says bringing my own phone is fine and that Cisco phones are supported.
2. None of them seem to have a power supply that comes in the box. It looks like I just need to purchase a charger that slightly resembles a laptop charger, is that correct?
3. Does my phone carrier set up the Mac address, etc when I call them to add this phone to my plan?
4. As far as I'm concerned, is that a plug and play phone? As in, I hook it up to my router and/or computer, add it to my current voip plan and then I'm good to use the phone?
Thank you for all your help in advance. This is my first time Attempting to figure out all of this.

Hi Officewmi,
CP-77945G does not required any charger as the power is supplied by POE switch.
you can try connect IP Phone directly to the switch port to check whether the port is configured with voice vlan or not.
or else you need to find someone that can configure the port for voice vlan.
Thanks

If your switch is not POE enabled you'll need to order a Power Cube 3 to power the phone.
