Hi!
First at all, I am not sure if this location is the best for my question, so sorry if it is not here.
I am doing the course "Introduction to Packet Tracer" in NetAcad and I need help.
I am traying to complete the point "2.1.1.5 Packet Tracer - Create a Simple Network Using Packet Tracer.pdf".
However I am not able to pass this part:
b. Identify the From and To Ports
Click on the Config tab in the Cloud device window. In the left pane click on Cable under CONNECTIONS. In the first drop down box choose Coaxial and in the second drop down box choose Ethernet then click the Add button to add these as the From Port and To Port as shown in the figure.
When I go to Cable in Config tab I can see Coaxial7 to be selected as From Port, but in the second box I don't see anything.
What is wrong? How can I get Ethernet interface in the second box?
Thanks!

Hi, my problem is different.everything works but the progress of the activity does not exceed 75%
The only thing I have seen is that whether I change the name of the pc or the laptop, the percentage goes down
but if I change the cable modem it does not change.
If I change the wire from the router to modem it doesn't work.
If I change addres in router DHCP, it works but dont change %
in the ipconfig command everything seems correct, but here the network mask of the pc appears as incorrect
Thanks

Hi
You assign the addressing statically and occupies a /16 mask.
With that you will get 100%.
It's an exercise bug apparently.

I have opened the same file that I sent you and PT shows me a different configuration, with DHCP enabled.
I'm working with an old laptop, but the PT requirements are met.
If you look at the image of the ipconfig command on the PC you will see that it appears as subnet mask 255.255.255.0
Could it be a problem with the configuration or installation of PT?
I will try to do this activity on another pc
Thanks

HI
As I told you, it's not a problem with the configuration or installation of PT, it's a bug in this exercise.
The way for the exercise to mark you 100% is by leaving the static addressing with a /16 mask.
